MEET THE TEAM

Mark and Jodi Dunstan
Divisional Youth Secretaries & Camp Directors
Mark and Jodi met in 1980 & joined in ‘wedded bliss’ in 1990! Their 30 years of marriage have seen them living in a variety of places in Canada as Salvation Army Officers for the past 13 years. Before that, they enjoyed many years in Ontario, Mark working for the bank, studying at Tyndale for his BRE, followed by the joy of being a youth pastor for 5 years; Jodi also enjoyed years of study at UofT to receive a BSc in Psychology & Religious Studies, followed by her Nursing diploma from Seneca College and 11 years of varied nursing opportunities. During these years of study, work and much laughter – their families grew with the arrival of their two beautiful children, Samuel & Michelle. Their love for their family is only surpassed by their deep love for God and seeing children, youth, & young adults grow in their awareness of God & His deep love for them. They feel it is a deep privilege to now work in the ministry of leading the Ontario Divisional Youth Department.

Carm Sheppard
Office Manager
Carm has been working at The Ontario Camping Ministries since 2016 as the Office Manager. Prior to The Salvation Army, she worked for a large staffing firm in Downtown Toronto. Carm gladly gave up the city life and has never looked back! Living further north of the city, she enjoys the outdoors, gardening, fishing and boating. She is thankful everyday for her family which includes her fur babies. Working for The Salvation Army Ontario Camping Ministries has been a fulfilling adventure and she looks forward to many years to come!

Katie Fuentes
Camp Registrar
Katie is our Camp Registrar. She grew up going to JPC as a camper and summer staff and is now a part of the team full time. Ontario Camping Ministries has played a great role in her life and faith journey. As a summer staff, the Thursday night campfires where children have the opportunity to start a relationship with Jesus were always a highlight. It is at camp where Katie first felt called to pursue ministry. Katie has graduated from Hillsong College in Australia where she studied ministry with a focus in Worship while volunteering in their Youth ministry and Worship team. She is excited to be a part of raising up the next generation in The Salvation Army.

Fred Brake
Maintenance Supervisor
Fred is our resident camp fixer. He has been on staff as our Maintenance Supervisor for 10 years and has been a part of the camp family long before that. Growing up, he spent his summers working at JPC. Fred is responsible for day to day maintenance as well as coordinating the big update projects you see around camp. In his spare time, he enjoys drawing, playing the cornet and golfing. Fred is “a part of the furniture” at camp so you’ll definitely see him around when you’re here.

Philly Rose
Hospitality Supervisor

Blair Campbell

Blair has previously worked in restaurants around the GTA as well as Retirement and Long term care for 25 years. He is married to his wife of 8 years and has a son who’s 7 years old. Blair enjoys hockey, reading comic books and playing video games. Through his role at camp, he finds joy in making people of all ages happy through food.
