About Us

Unplug In The Heart Of Muskoka

Newport Adventure Camp witnesses one of the most beautiful Muskoka Sunsets on Skeleton Lake just 20 minutes from Huntsville, ON. Skeleton lake has many tales, but there is no tale when it comes to its formation. Unlike other Ontario Lakes that were formed by receding glaciers, Skeleton lake was formed by a Meteor strike, which explains its unique shape, a bowl.  Our beach has 100m or sand at a shallow depth of 3 feet before it gently drops to depths of over 150ft in the lake’s centre.

From June to October,  our beautifully refinished cabins can be rented for 1 week, from Saturday to Friday, and are located on the lower half of the camp with a clear view of the lake. Enjoy a week of swimming, campfires, relaxing on the beach, kayaking, canoeing, and exploring the outdoors. Rentals are available to Salvation Army Officers, Employees and Church Members. Registration opens January 29th, 2024
